The Rehoboth Acres Day Program is a private, faith based program designed for adults ages 18 and older with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We offer both full time and part time enrollment options and are committed to excellence in care and community. With a limited enrollment of 20 participants, each individual receives the personalized attention and support they deserve.

Each day at Rehoboth Acres begins with worship and Bible teaching, using the Awe and Wonder Adapted Bible Curriculum. Your loved one will be taught that God made them “on purpose, for a purpose” while building meaningful relationships.

Rehoboth Acres uses the Specific Natural Activity Program (SNAP Curriculum) to promote growth in daily living, communication, recreation, and life skills. Citizens participate in physical activities, communication development, spiritual teaching, enterprises, recreation, and social connections. Each day begins with worship and Bible teaching using the Awe and Wonder Adapted Curriculum, helping Citizens understand their God given purpose.

Our mission is to make room for people with disabilities to thrive. We believe every person deserves to be seen, valued, and supported—especially individuals with challenging behaviors who are so often misunderstood or overlooked. In our opening phase, we are enrolling individuals with minimal to moderate behavioral support needs. As our resources and experience continue to grow, our heart is to expand and embrace those with higher needs as well. At Rehoboth, we strive to be the team that says yes—especially when others have said no. Everyone deserves a place to belong.

There is no financial assistance currently available, but work is underway to build a donor base so cost will not limit participation. While the Rehoboth is not a Medicaid contractor, some families may use Texas Home Living Waiver or Social Security Income benefits to help cover tuition.

Nichole Huggins
Nichole Huggins is a certified Special Education Teacher and licensed Children’s Minister. Her experience as a classroom teacher, special needs advocate, disability minister, and children’s minister, have prepared her to be a valuable leader in achieving the Rehoboth mission. She has served on staff as a disability minister for nearly two decades both locally and as the Global Special Needs Minister at Prestonwood Baptist Church. She uses her years of serving on staff as a special needs minister to partner with churches across the nation as a Regional Specialist for the Southern Baptist Convention of Texas and as a Disability Ministry Consultant where she helps to train and equip leaders to make room for people with disabilities.
Nichole has had the opportunity to be the keynote speaker for the “Banquet Network” Disability Conference, has been featured on “Pardon the Mess” Christian Parenting Podcast, featured on “Special Needs Motherhood” Podcast, a speaker for the “Wonderfully Made” Special Needs Conference, a breakout speaker at “All Access” Disability Ministry Conference, a breakout speaker for “Right Now Media”, and many others.
Nichole and her husband Jake have two beautiful children, Grace and Ezra. As the parent of a child with special needs, Nichole understands the trials, triumphs, and life lessons of having a child with Autism. She desires to be a catalyst for change within the world of special needs.
