Rehoboth Acres is a faith-based nonprofit in East Texas creating space for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live with purpose, joy, and belonging. We currently offer a thriving day program where adults with mild to severe disabilities can learn new skills, build friendships, and be part of a supportive community that celebrates who they are. Every person is seen as capable, valued, and uniquely designed by God.
Our long-term vision is to grow into a residential community with fully staffed group homes on peaceful acreage—a place where individuals with disabilities can live, work, and thrive in a setting built around faith, dignity, and genuine care. Community-based IDD care in Texas often falls short—both for the individuals who need consistent, compassionate support and for the caregivers who serve them. Rehoboth Acres is stepping in to provide a model of care that values dignity, stability, and faith- filled community for everyone involved.
Before Rehoboth Acres opened its doors, we were unsure what life after high school would look like for our autistic son, Mason. We were in search of an adult day program that would not only provide him with daily living skills but also personal happiness and fulfillment.
Before July 2025, Keshia’s life might be described as boring! She spent most days with just Dennis and me, doing whatever errands we did and sitting watching TV or working her iPad. We knew this was not how she should spend her days.
I’m so thankful for Rehoboth Acres. It’s more than a program — it’s a community that brings joy, purpose, and belonging to my son’s life. I truly believe God led us here, to a place where His love shines through the staff and every moment of care.
